Well, welcome to this blog (geez, that sounds like such an effort, right?), which will end up being a collage of non-linear vignettes where some will be entirely true, some will not be true at all, but most will be mostly true and it is up to you, dear reader, to muse on what is what.  As for me, I will know and never tell.  ;)  (I am a goddamned mysterioso like that.)  At the very least, I hope it will be somewhat entertaining because I can't keep all of this stuff in my head all to myself.  It would be both unfair to you and I could possibly implode, neither of which are ideal, in particular, the latter.

I once took a stab at a different blog years ago, but I abandoned it...and I suppose this is the place where I tell you a few things about myself, but not who I am; I am just the Anonymita.  See, I have a low-ranking job that is visible enough where I am, and you know how these internets work...it can be the archive of one's shame and since we have the WayBackMachine, the trolling photographic memories of intangible webbots will have your ass on record for all fucking eternity.  So, I am here nameless and faceless without anything but an IP and MAC address, though I use an anonymizer, so don't bother.

Anyhow, the deets, yeah?
  • Female
  • Southern by birth and raised
  • 37 year old, quintessential Gen-Xer: suspicious (I pretty much don't believe anyone and I think that marketers must think most people are fucking morons); independent (moved out of the house when I was 17); highly educated (I began college when I was 16, have two Master's degrees and working on my doctorate); anti-authority (this has, admittedly, been a problem); ambitious loner (I traveled Europe alone, for example); adaptable (I have lived in seven states, 15 cities, and a different country); resourceful (just reference two bullets down); and, well, some other shit.  I also smoked lots of pot, ate mushrooms, and dabbled in a few other mind-altering substances, but I got it all out of my system for the most part by the time I was 21.  I didn't necessarily "slack" per say, I just kinda..."aimlessly mosied" there for a bit.
  • Polyglot
  • (Content) (spinster) Librarian
  • Lives in the Northern Hemisphere
  • Often irreverent and insensitive
  • Grammar, spelling and syntax Warden of the World (Ok, so you know I will fuck something up eventually and it WILL be a typo.  You don't have to be kind, but just don't be an asshole knowing that bourbon and proofreading aren't the closest of friends. Also, I sometimes make up words to suit my needs; don't harsh me on it, especially because I have degrees that are a license to contrive language however I want, but I will call out others on their inability to use the English language correctly.  Yeah, fuck me; I'm hypocrite-ish.)
  • Mostly heartless, with the exception of my feelings about animals. (Only they can truly conjure spontaneous tears; not even my wretched, intentionally unused uterus and the hormones coursing through my body can inspire empathy in me.)
  • Worst fear growing up: Not spiders, or snakes, or a kidnapper with a mustache, thick glasses and a windowless van (Good job, hipsters, on making "pedophile" fashionable).  It was giving birth to the second-coming of the Messiah at 10 years old (Catholic school fucked me up) and being forced to give Him up for adoption b/c my parents would CLEARLY not believe that I immaculately conceived, even though the fucking Bible said it would happen just like that.  And, then, the sad little orphan, Second Baby Jesus, would grow up in foster care, and everyone would think He was crazy, just like Jesus James in high school, and dude would end up in a nuthouse claiming to be Jesus, but no one would believe him and this time it would actually be true!!!!  And...AND...agggggggggghhhh! (Seriously, I suffered great anxiety over this for many years, well into high school.)
  • Important following note: I'm an atheist with agnostic tendencies sometimes, but in the end I know that the sparkle of divine hope is really just the booze talkin'. Whatevs.
  • I think children most men hipsters Satan knitted ponchos human beings are heinous.
  • I am on a dating sabbatical.  (For real, that shit is just a swilling pool of cess.) I think you could probably agree that this decision is best for everyone, you know, like, in the whole world.
  • I'm not bitter; however, I am jaded, which makes me cynical about everything and provides me a unique outlook on life, which is oftentimes pretty fucking funny, but you will have to decide whether that is true or not.
That's me in a tiny nutshell.  There's more, but you will discover the gifts this labyrinth yields soon enough at intervals I think are reasonable for the rational minds among us. Don't be greedy, yo'.  It's so very unattractive...
